Relational Replication

Relational Replication allows you to replicate Temenos Transact data in relational databases.

Prerequisites and assumptions

There are some prerequisites before Relational Replication can be configured, and certain assumptions made in this document.

Overview

With Relational Replication, the configured Temenos Transact application table and data are replicated in the Relational Replication Database in a relational structure.

Architecture

You will need to understand the architecture and process flow for Relational Replication.

Configuring the database

You will need to configure an Oracle or a SQL Server database.

Configuring runtime

Some steps are necessary to configure runtime for Relational Replication.

Configuring the application server for Relational Replication

You will need to perform a number of steps to configure the application server for Relational Replication.

XSD Events

You will have to perform a number of actions if you need to process XSD events.

Data events

You will need to capture data events, process these events and generate metadata and DDLs for the replicate tables.

Archiving and purging of data events

After processing, data events which have processed successfully are purged. The system can be configured to archive these events.

Configuring applications in Relational Replication

You will need to configure applications in Relational Replication.

Processing the initial load

You will need to perform a number of actions to process the initial load.

Dashboard enquiries

Some enquiries are available with Relational Replication. These are used to display the status of the ETL process in the target environment.
