Direct Connect Drivers

Direct Connect Driver (DCD) supports multiple databases using the Config-XMLxxx utility. You can also create read-only and associate tables for the default database. This section provides an overview of the Direct Connect Drivers (DCD) used to connect jBASE and external RDBMS, configuration, file creation and execution of queries on those files.

NOTE: This section deals with configuring multi database access, but if the user is using Single database, there will be no change in the configuration process.

Multi-Database Access Driver

Direct Connect driver is a middleware component between (Undefined variable: MyVariables.Product) and its connecting database. It enables (Undefined variable: MyVariables.Product) to send data to and retrieve data from database storage, also enables you to configure and access multiple databases. This section provides the configuration, commands for multi-database access, table querying, transaction in multi-databases, driver environment variables and other important details for the Oracle, MSSQL and DB2 databases.
