Transaction Tracing Settings

This section provides the pre-requisites and settings to generate unique ID to work with transaction tracing.

Pre-requisites

To work with this feature, you need to:

• Have the minimum requirement for Transaction Tracing as shown in the following table and ensure that the same release of components are used.

• Know how to deploy and set up the initiating transaction or enquiry in the producer (Browser, TWS, and so on).
• Deploy the following files in the application servers and ensure all the log levels are maintained in the INFO level.

  • tocfee.ear
  • tocfTemenos Transactra.rar

The settings to generate unique ID are as follows.

BrowserWeb.war

To generate unique ID in BrowserWeb.rar for transaction tracing, you need to enable the uniqueIDRequired option in the browserParameters.xml file. By default, this option is disabled.

Web services

To generate unique ID in web services for transaction tracing, you need to set the uniqueID.Required option to true in the tws.properties file. By default, this option is set to false.

Batch File Listeners (BFL)

To generate unique ID in BFL transactions for transaction tracing, you need to set the uniqueIDRequired property to true in the ejb-jar.xml of the tocflistener-ejb file.
